The Creation of Our Logo
In the fall of 2001, Sarah Slappey, a talented artist, who was a student at Ridgeview High School, designed the early education centers logo which incorporates the following symbols:
Sun–In Malachi 4:2, Christ is referred to as the “the Sun of Righteousness”. Jesus is also referred to as the light. The sun is the source of light. Knowledge and growth are associated with light.
Staff–Symbolizes the shepherd caring for his sheep. LSLC-CDC nurtures the development of children in a Christian environment.
Cross-Represents the Christian mission of LSLC-CDC serving as a ministry to the surrounding community.
Leaf–Represents the growth of the children in LSLC-CDC and after school care.
Purpose– To provide a high quality Child Development Center and After School Care program which nurtures the development of children in a Christian environment and serves as a ministry to the surrounding community.
